Syllabus - Calendar - Diagnostic Test Results

The diagnostic test was comprised of 50 problems, with each problem in one 9 categories: ARTH (arithmetic), EXPS (exponents), GEOM (geometry), GRPH (graphing), LINR (linear expressions), POLY (polynomial expressions), QUAD (quadratic equations), RATL (rational expressions), and WORD (word problems.) The 9 (red) columns on the far right show how many problems of that type there were in the header and how many problems students got correct in that category beneath (follow your student number over across from the left hand column.) The 9 (blue) columns then indicate whether a student had demonstrated competency (1) in these categories or not (0). The green column gives your overall percentage correct. Typically, for students taking the allotted 45 minutes for the test, a score 50% or more is considered sufficient for readiness to study intermediate algebra.
